We have good quantities of hands of various sizes (sold as they come) which make good material for scrimshaw work. This can be inlet into other craft work, knife handles & sticks etc. Split or whole can be used as knife handle scales or for button making for enactment, or other craft work where flat antler or bone is required. SAMBAR STAG 6" CROWN HANDLE PIECE Ref: SAM-CH1	We have not been able to get any new supplies of the most sought after Indian Sambar Stag antler pieces for knife making handles for nearly ten years because of Indian Government export restrictions. This Sambar has nearly always been the favourite for big handled knives like Sheffield Bowies beacause of its weight & very think wall substance before yhou get to the honeycomb centre. This also enables good quality & width slab scales to be cut for knife scales & the solid handle is always an advantage for big heavy knives. Stickmakers also like the texture & substance for cutting collar spacers or carving because it allows depth into the antler wall before exposing the soft core. Many new knife & stick makers have not had the opportunity to work with this material because of its unavailability, except as odd bits left over from pre-export restriction days. We have limited initial supplies of Crown Handle pieces of approximately 6" long with the smallest diameter being around an inch. Like all good things it does not come cheap, but for a quality job it is a must to add that extra touch to a special project. Price: £20.00
